Beef Madras


Beef Madras (Southern Indian Recipe)


1 lb. Lean beef cut in cubes
1 big Onion, diced
2 tbsp. Cooking oil or Ghee oil
1 can Madras curry cooking sauce, available in Indian stores
1/2 cup Cold water


In a medium saucepan sauté the diced onion in medium heat stirring occasionally until it's golden brown.

Add the cubed beef until lightly brown.

Stir in one can of madras cooking sauce and half cup of water

Simmer , uncovered until the meat is cook and tender for about 45 minutes or so.

If you wish for thinner sauce add more water

This is a simple way cooking this recipe , since the can of madras sauce is full flavor that you need for all the spices.

The same procedure can be done for lamb, chicken, fish and vegetable for vegetarian

Delicious to served with Pilau rice, Basmati or Tilda.

Serve for 3-4 people.
